My name is Ipek Genc and I studied at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Germany in the program of MSc Global Change Management. I hold a BSc in Urban and Planning degree from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.

I love cities, and I love the fact that they are living systems that we, humanity can define our own future within them. That's why I am interested in both the concepts of "urban sustainability" and "systems thinking".

With this idea, I recently wrote my master's thesis on Nature-Based Solutions with a special focus on European urban areas.

I aim to transform cities into places where all living beings can enjoy them now and in the future. ​

I describe myself as a systems thinker who aims to identify complex systems and create innovative solutions by identifying stakeholders & relationships.

Outside of work, I enjoy being in nature and exploring new cultures & cuisines.
