I learned about the concept of "just transition" with the greatest emphasis on "spatial justice" and the role and ways of "citizen participation" for a sustainable (in three dimensions of sustainability: social, economic and environmental) and fair transition and urbanisation.

As my final assignment, I choose a case study from Istanbul which discusses "just governance" topic and introduced possible solutions. Click here to view.

The New Urban Agenda Crash Course
Part 1: Dimensions of the New Urban Agenda

"The New Urban Agenda" is an action-oriented document that mobilizes Member States and other key stakeholders to drive sustainable urban development at the local level.

Social sustainability: gender-equal planning, planning for minorities and people with special needs,

Economic sustainability: labor creation,

Environmental sustainability: climate change mitigation and adaptation

Spatial sustainability: equity, with their principles as well as actions to implement and accelerate them.
Two weeks project took place in Austria with the participants from 8 different countries. I have participated in the Germany group by the sponsorship of "Kulturlabor Trial&Error" NGO . The project aimed to create innovative solutions to social and environmental issues with the perspective of sustainability.

PROMOS
PROMOS, a scholarship program offered by the DAAD(German Academic Exchange Service), is financed by the German Ministry of Education and Research. The PROMOS funds of Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development support internships conducted outside Europe. I have been a PROMOS scholarship holder during my research semester in Japan.
DEUTSCHLANDSTIPENDIUM
Deutschlandstipendium, a scholarship offered by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung(Federal Ministry of Education and Research). The Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development supports particularly committed and high-performing students with the HNEE-Deutschlandstipendium. I am a HNEE-Deutschlandstipendium scholarship holder since March 2022.
